THE COMPANY - History
Origin
The company ‘De Keyser electrical engineering’ first saw the light of day in 1978. The original company (the then called Electro Guy Dekeyeser) was established by Guy De Keyser.
Guy was able to expand this one-man business into a prosperous company with many qualified electricians as he already had many satisfied and loyal customers for mains electricity connections in the house-building sector.
His son, Hans De Keyser, joined the company as an industrial engineer in the mid-nineties. It wasn’t long before he had assumed many responsibilities. In 1997, following reorganization of the business, Electro Guy Dekeyser became De Keyser electrical engineering.
Development of activities...
The company grew, as did the projects. It began to partner, more and more, with well-known prefabricated construction firms, architects and interior decorators. The electrical equipment and installations became much more extensive and much more specialised. The group of satisfied customers grew as well. It was obvious the company needed a new home base and larger premises, where if they could house its specialised equipment and vehicle fleet in a more professional way.
De Keyser electrical engineering moved to its new address (Berchem – Kluisbergen) in 2000. The buildings (in the Zonnestraat) were completely renewed and offices were fully equipped. Because of the company’s strong growth, more project management and technical studies were needed.
That’s why industrial engineer Koen Hamers joined the company in 2003. One year later Hans Dekeyser took over from his father. Hans and Koen form a formidable duo, brimming with technical expertise. That’s why even the most complex of projects are undertaken with great enthusiasm. Since their arrival, a wind of entrepreneurial change has been blowing through the company.
On May 1, 2010 Koen Hammers became a shareholder of the company and since August 2011, the company has a recognition class 5.
After some succesful years, Koen Hamers became full owner of the company on October 2, 2015.
Currently, 20 technicians work at De Keyser electrical engineering.
