The study, design and realization of the electrical and pneumatic installations at a water treatment plant.

The customer contracted us to design and build all the electrical and pneumatic equipment. A chemical plant which converts river water into deionized water.

Just as with any cabling installation, the electrical LS cabinet is the heart of it. Due care and an overview of the process at all times is of the utmost importance. So, with cabinets of this size and complexity, the distribution cabinet is divided into 5 compartments. For example, one compartment was reserved for: the power distribution, the control of the motors, the instrumentation and the signalization with the control room. Crystal-clear warning lights and in-situ operation via LEDs, push-buttons and meters also received the requisite attention.

For the complex chemical process to go ahead, a comprehensive overview was needed of the installed motors and other equipment. These were monitored continually via dozens of devices, periodic readings, metering pumps and frequency controllers. Not only electrical signals were used to actuate the valves, pneumatic thermionic valves were used too.

As ever, great care was taken with the supports and sheathing for the cable runs. Here too, the cramped space demanded the requisite ingenuity of our engineers in order to build an easily accessible plant with a clear and comprehensible layout.
