This semi-compact substation consists of 2 receiving cells, a detector cell and three emitting cells, each equipped with a motorised circuit breaker. In order to integrate the operation of this substation into the existing supervision system, we opted for a separate protection relay.
In a room ranked BB00 (= a room with no gas outlet), equipment of class AA10 (=minimal risk) must o be installed. A RMU satisfies this condition.
A typical ‘SME configuration’ , viz. an RMU equipped with a raised pedestal, a detector cell (rank AA10) an a transformer of 250 kVA. One of the receiving cells is equipped with a motorised isolating switch.
