The Client entrusted us with the electrical installation of 2 MV motors of 355 kW, operating off a voltage supply of 6300 VAC. In order to protect the users and the equipment, a robust screening plate was put around the MV cables.
To minimize the risk of water entering the junction box of the 6 kV-motors, we opted for heat-shrink gland nuts (IP class 67). Unambiguous signage warns the operators of potential hazards.
Semi-compact cells having a motor-protective relay and an MV contactor ensure that the protection is good and the motors function properly.
To make the MV connections onto the cables, our technicians are fully equipped with special tools. They have also been trained by the manufacturers of the coupling sleeves to work in the approved manner.
