De Keyser electrical engineering has experience of installing oil-filled as well as dry transformers.
Two mineral-oil-cooled transformers of 1250 kVA, each equipped with an oil collection tray. Both transformers have been equipped with a DMCR (Detection, Measurement and Control Relay) to afford optimal protection.
An open set-up of a liquid-cooled transformer of 1600 kVA. Both the LV- and the MV cablework was done using monopolar cables.
A typical ‘SME configuration’, viz. an oil-filled transformer of 250 kVA (400A at 400 VAC), equipped with a collection tray, a pressure gauge and connecting plugs on the MV side. An open set-up is possible by means of an IP 21 cover over the LV-connecting surfaces.
This dry transformer is constructed with self-extinguishing moulding resin and has a power rating of 1600 kVA. A cover with protection level IP31 was put on the chassis of the transformer.
