Unequivocal identification is a must to correctly connect the numerous electric cables. The numbering of these cables, by means of clearly legible labels, allows of quick and easy retrieval of each cable’s safety device (automatic circuit breaker) and its consumer (power socket).
Every consumer (a server, a VDU, …) is supplied from at least 2 power sources. If 1 of the 2 cuts out, then the other power supply takes over automatically, thereby guaranteeing continuity of supply.
